The ATHENE Usable Security and Privacy Lab (USP-Lab) specializes in conducting user studies on the usability of security- and privacy-related technologies. Its focus lies on research questions in the field of user-centered security and privacy, particularly regarding privacy, human-centered approaches, and transparency-enhancing technologies. The USP-Lab provides comprehensive technical and methodological resources to conduct usability methods such as focus groups, user interviews, prototyping, usability testing (on PCs and mobile devices), surveys, card sorting, eye tracking, and related approaches.
The USP-Lab is available to all ATHENE researchers. It can also be integrated into teaching and transfer activities by ATHENE members. Detailed methodological explanations, practical step-by-step guides, and information on booking the USP-Lab are available on the lab’s internal website for ATHENE researchers: https://lab.ucs.users.h-da.cloud.
Researchers outside ATHENE are welcome to request access to the USP-Lab; please contact Nicole Spira (nicole.spira@h-da.de) or Sven Wroblewski (sven.wroblewski@h-da.de)for inquiries.
We look forward to welcoming you!
